What is Material Frequency Music?

MFM is not about materials. MFM is from materials.

Every frequency on this collection — every bass note, carrier, harmonic, partial — derives from the physical resonant properties of a specific engineering material. The process: atomic-resonance mapping (fundamental frequency scaled from electron-shell configuration and atomic mass), overtone-series extraction (from crystal lattice and elastic modulus), sub-audible layering (infra/ultrasound embedded inaudibly for felt presence), and custom wavetable synthesis from spectral analysis of real material impacts and resonances.

Synthesized and mastered in The Forge, a custom Python DAW on bare-metal CachyOS Linux. 24-bit / 44.1 kHz. -14 LUFS integrated masters.

Every album is a complete, closed system — tuned to a single material's signature frequencies. The six-album cycle is designed to be listened to in order: 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 5 → 6. Album 6 (ALLOY) is the synthesis.
